– Love Our Locals! –
I’m a huge fan of supporting local businesses in this every growing world of chains and corporate businesses where we all become lost and feel like another number without a face. It’s no secret that my jeep gets trashed on a weekly basis!
Sand and salt are not your car’s friend! For years I’ve been using The Pelican Car Wash to detail my jeep, and it’s always been great. Year after year they manage to put the sparkle back with amazing attention to detail, but lately I’ve noticed that it feels like every time I go I notice some new improvement. The walls have fresh new paint the color of a summer sky. Instead of feeling like a normal “car wash” it has the feel of a quaint little beachy boutique store, with shelves that are lined with local artists goods. Extra seating areas, so not only are there cute little chairs under the shady portico outside where you can enjoy the breeze, but if you prefer they have seats inside where you can continue to be blasted with cool air on those extra hot days while you can study local photographers and artists work on the walls.
After a lovely conversation with new location manager Lea, who is super friendly and helpful, I found out that the explanation to this fresh new feel is that The Pelican is under new management and ownership, and I couldn’t be happier. One of my favorites has gotten even better! They have kept the same people that have been doing such a great job making my ride squeaky clean, but have given the location a fresh new feel.

The Pelican Auto Wash is part of a group of adorable little shops located at 11340-11370 U.S. Highway 1, North Palm Beach, FL 33408. They include a magical gem of a garden center called Magnolia Garden Boutique that offers fine pottery, orchids, bromeliads, and custom arrangements. As well as Landscape Design.

I had a lovely conversation with Curate Manager, Amy Louden about the unique items of clothing and accessories offered by Owner, Kerry Diaz at Curate. Definitely a great stop if your wardrobe is feeling a bit stale, as they had so many bright, fun pieces that I am am dying to get my hands on!
Hello adorable cross body bag with bright colored pom poms! Amy explained that they very carefully select the items for sale, and do a lot of great work with local charities including “A Place of Hope”.

So if you’re a local, or want to feel like one, join me in supporting these great local places. I’m super excited to have joined other great local artists on the walls of The Pelican.
5 new prints dropped last week (“Don’t Be Koi”, “She is of the Sea”, “Your Pink is Showing-Lola”, “Gonzo”, and “Dolphin”). So show some support for your local artists and business owners and stop on by to see my work, stroll through the garden center, check out Curate to brighten your wardrobe and get a great car wash while you’re there!
Love,
Ro
